A demonstration of using goldpoint including surface preparation. In this case, using 24 carat gold wire from a jeweller with modern materials being used to draw a portrait from life. Silverpoint is the same process but will tarnish with time, creating a nice warm brown. It can be fun to use both in a drawing where an area changes over time but the gold areas stay the same.
